Today me and my academic class was on a field trip. We went to downtown Toronto for a French field trip. It was to a French style restaurant called "Le Papillion Restaurant" I had fun and up to me and food was GREAT!
Since Mr. Case was on the field trip with us, I thought that the other people in the class wouldn't do anything new but they actually did. Ms. Griffiths said that the class was asked to make a budget in Excel.
First we were supposed to go to the internet and find the salary of an occupation that we would like to have. Then we had to calculate the expenses (ex. rent, entertainment, food, etc) and minus that from our salary and see how much we save each month. We were also supposed to calculate the tax for our salary.
The job I choose is Psychiatrist. After taxes and total expenses, I save about $5,121 each month. That's really good. This mini project was helpful because we got a chance a think ahead about the future.
