Big Bang Timeline

In the () means to the power of something

10(-43): In the first instant, the temperature was 10(32) degress celcius, and there was nothing but light

Fractions of a second later: The temperature quickly cooled, causing the creation of subatomic particles

10(-4): At this point the temperature has cooled enough to begin forming the nuclei of atoms

3 minutes: Nearly all of the Helium that exists in the earth today was formed by this point

1 hour: By now all Helium production had stopped

500,000: It took this long for the universe to cool to 300 degrees celcius. This temperature allowed electrons to become part of atoms, resulting in neutral atoms

1,000,000,000 years: It took this long for stars and galaxies to begin forming
